Q. What should I do if someone is trying to charge me
more than their regular
prices or imposes different restrictions than indicated in their directory
listing?
A. Stop the transaction, call the VTE office immediately and speak to
your account
representative. Members should never charge other members more for their
products and services than they charge their cash customers. Also, members are
expected to honor the restriction levels described in their member directory
listing
since they have the ability to easily make changes.
Since we cannot be everywhere at once, we depend on our members to notify us
immediately if others are not following the proper trading policies and
procedures.
We will take whatever steps necessary to ensure that members are treated fairly.
Q. Who do I call if there are incorrect cash or trade
charges on my account?
A. VTE's computerized system ensures up-to-date, accurate statements of
all
trading activities and fees. On occasion, however, mistakes do happen; please do
not hesitate to contact your account representative with questions about your
statement.
All transactions, including those completed online or by phone, requires that
you
return a signed sales slip (or an e-mail confirmation from the buyer) to VTE by
the
end of the month. You may send them in after each sale, or you may send them all
at one time at the end of the month. If a buyer challenges a charge and we did
not receive a sales slip from you; the burden of proof is on you to prove that
the
transaction occurred. Failure to do so will likely result in the transaction
being
reversed.
Q. I know of another business interested in joining VTE,
what should I do?
A. VTE offers several referral incentive options, payable in Trade
Dollars (T$) - The
more effort you put into recruiting new members, the more you get back (Note:
incentives are open to both members and non members, but are not valid if VTE
has already called upon the prospective member).
1. Visitors: Bring prospective members as
visitors to VTE Quarterly events and
earn T$5 credit per prospective member visitor you bring per event (Note: For
credit to apply visitors must be a business owner visiting for the first time,
additional incentives may apply should the visitor join).
2. Leads: have a specific company in mind
that you’d like VTE to recruit but don’t
feel comfortable making the introduction? For each prospect name you provide
that we are then able to recruit as new members, earn T$25 for 1-3 members
acquired from your leads, T$50 per member thereafter.
3. “Warm” Referrals: You’ve effectively sold
a prospective member on joining
pending a consultation with a VTE representative or a new applicant lists your
company on their application as the referral source, earn T$50 for 1-3
members acquired from your referrals, T$100 per member thereafter.
